📖 Luke 12:01-03
*Words of faith in God* _Luke 12:1-3_
It is the genuineness of our faith, which is much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire that will bring praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. We do not see Him but we love Him, by trusting Him and surrendering and submitting our will to His will. Since we trust Him, we rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, in all our circumstances.
This life of faith in God translates into words that we speak. God's judgement will be on the ungodly people for all the ungodly deeds that they have done in an ungodly manner. Immediately, our mind will rationalise and say that this does not apply to me, as I’m not an ungodly person. Let us be reminded that the ungodly are also those who have _spoken_ harsh words against God _Jude 1:14-15._
Harsh words are words that are not out of faith but words spoken out of looking at our circumstances, situations and at people around us. Let us take a moment to examine the words that we speak. Aren’t they ungodly words spoken in harshness?
A tree is known by its fruit. Our words are the evidence of who we are within. Our words are the evidence of our character. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man, a man who is changed within, by the Holy Spirit, brings out words that spring from God and out of his trust in God but the evil man is one, who still has not surrendered to the Lord ship of Christ, within, and so the self is still ruling and this is evidenced by the words that he speaks.
Our Lord is warning us that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by our words we will be justified, justified because, we spoke words that were of faith in God and it is our faith in Him that gives us our righteousness. By our words we will be condemned, since words were from abundance of the heart, where the self is till ruling and not Christ _Matthew 12:33-37._
May the Lord truly bring change in our lives.
