Living victoriously in Christ Matthew 6:13a

As we live here on earth, we need to be aware that we are in warfare. A warfare, where satan and his forces are our enemy. The whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one I John 5:19. This is the reason we need pray this prayer of, “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

The battle is in the heavenly realms. We are in the hour of trial, which satan is causing on the earth against all its inhabitants Revelation 3:10. Satan is not on the side of those, who are rejecting God. His agenda is to steal, kill and destroy, all of God’s creation John 10:10. Though satan is trying to destroy all that is God’s, our Lord is still in control over these circumstances and He permits these as a trial for us, who are His, but He keeps us through the hour of trial. The Lord wants us to persevere with Him, as we face the attack of the enemy.

Satan’s attack on us will cause us suffering and God is not exempting us from suffering. Satan may even cause some of God’s people, physical death but we need not be afraid for the Lord will give us the crown of life Revelation 2:10, 7:14-17. The Lord delivers us, who are His own, from the attack of the enemy and those, who are rejecting God, will go further and further away from God, towards punishment, in the Day of Judgment II Peter 2:9

The Lord has sent us into the world to reconcile those, who are rejecting God, back to Him and to establish God’s kingdom rule here on earth John 17:15-18/II Corinthians 5:18-20. Jesus has prayed for us, His disciples, to the Father that we should be kept from the evil one. We are here in the world but we are separated from the world, for we are people of the truth.

Thought to ponder

Luke 12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
